Pot of Gold with MHK Butterflies

This month over at Twisted Thursday, we want to show our appreciation to all the kind sponsors we have had support us in 2017 by having a  "POT OF GOLD". This week's optional twist is Metallics. I selected MHK Designs and used the Butterfly collection.
I printed the digital images using a laser printer, then ran them through my Minc machine with gold foil. The black card is edged with gold paper and mounted on white cardstock. I used some pretty gold foil thread, punched butterflies (Recollections) using the same gold paper as the image backings and edge strips, and round golden disks to finish off this metallic medley.

    1. LOL, Janet. Not bad if you buy only a black ink printer. That's really all you need for the work we do.

    1. Ha Ha, Katrina. Do you really think the cardmaker ever thinks to mail out cards? You don't really need a "Minc" machine, as an inexpensive laminator works just as well :)

  3. Jean wow I love what you have done with your card. I to have been playing around with my Laminator the effect is so neat and your card has come out so lovely. I tried one of the Ppinky images the other day but it didn't come out very well the foil only appeared on her eyes and a little on the handle of the umbrella, the print was pale so that was my problem. Big hugs to you Andrea

    1. You did need fatter lines in an image for the foil to really show, Andrea. You could color in areas, then scan, then print again with a laser printer for more foil to show though. Hummm, I should try that myself, LOL!
